After
attending a class on Food Processor usage, an
attendee stated,
"Wow I had no
idea there were so many ways and things to use my processor for.
I learned so much and appreciated being able to do hands on with
my machine. I'll definitely use the recipes we made and extras
you gave us. Thanks Sandy." Cheryl M.

From J.C. Penney Company.
If you are a
fan of the Food Network, you may be familiar with the
show "Dinner Impossible". If not, you will still
appreciate the irony of reality television turning into
real life.
Your mission, Scrumptious Stuff, if you should decide to
accept, is to provide a Christmas feast for 250 J.C.
Penney associates, in the middle of the December selling
frenzy. The challenge: feed 250 people from 10 in the
morning until 8 in the evening, in a busy department
store setting. The facilities for this challenge are
less than optimum. Two refrigerators packed with
assorted employee lunches in various states of decay.
Two microwaves that provide enough power to light the
bulbs inside. A conference room/food prep/serving area,
jammed to the ceiling with Christmas trees. A sink in
the employee lunchroom that actually has running water
as long as you don't turn on the disposal. One more tiny
detail, I wanted “THE WOW FACTOR”.
In the past, our holiday luncheon has consisted of a
traditional meal of turkey and trimmings, served at
noon. The lunch hours for our associates range from
10a.m. for the morning crew, to 8pm for those working
closing shifts. The one seating at noon, was too late
for the a.m. stock crew and the late crew was always
stuck with dried out leftovers... The response from
other catering companies was, 'have you ever heard of
KFC?'
Sandy and her culinary staff agreed to take on the
challenge and the WOW mocktail party
was born. Not only would it be necessary to overcome the
obstacle of not having a functioning kitchen, but a menu
that would stand up to a ten hour feeding marathon. A
menu of over twelve cold and hot appetizers and three,
fabulous desserts which included the must have chocolate
fix; in the form of incredible chocolate crepes was the
"scrumptious" outcome.
Candlelight, crystal, superb food, and personal
attention to every detail were accomplished by Sandy and
the Scrumptious Stuff staff. Thank you Scrumptious
Stuff, for the WOW FACTOR, the "Can do”
and much more.

From Jerrie K.
"I know if you could you would have joined us in
doing handsprings over Mom's 90th Birthday party; it was
perfect. What was neat about the food-apart from it's
tastiness of course-was how subtly all the personnel
worked. They brought everything that was needed, filled
this and that thing, as was needed, fixed and served in
magnificent efficiency, asking nothing further for
themselves. They saw what needed to be done and just did
it. I love that kind of competence. It was great."
One major thing lacking was you. Having gone through my
own broken ankle I can appreciate your stove-up-ness. Do
take time to revel in the success of our wonderful party
however. Thank you SO much for all your expertise,
advice, help and humor."
